Carbon neutrality - maintaining a balance between greenhouse gas
“emissions” and “absorption”. People all around the world have been
making significant efforts toward realizing this goal.
We at TSUNEISHI KAMTEC’s group companies have been taking on the
task of reducing CO₂ emissions through the proactive adoption of
renewable energy sources and the development of efficient incineration
technologies. Through these efforts, we aim to reduce CO₂ emissions by
80% by the year 2050.
We are also focused on CCUS and carbon recycling technologies that
capture and effectively use CO₂.
We will continue exploring all the decarbonization possibilities that can
be achieved in the waste processing industry.
CCU stands for technologies that capture CO2
and convert them
into valuable chemicals
such as methane. CCS, on the other
hand,
involves technologies that capture CO2 and
store it in
stable geological formations or trap
them using reactions with
cement or other
substances. CCS technologies have been
drawing attention as indispensable for
achieving carbon
neutrality.

Japan’s landfills are expected to have a remaining lifespan of about 20
years.
Therefore, it is imperative for us to establish a robust recycling system in a
circular economy , where we reduce the volume of waste through
intermediate treatment processes and reuse as much waste as possible to
reduce its volume buried in landfills.
In addition to these, it is also essential for us to develop recycling
technologies that eliminate the need for landfills.
To tackle these unfamiliar challenges, we have been ramping up our R&D
efforts in cooperation with leading universities.
Our goal is to accomplish zero landfill waste by recycling various forms of
garbage, including those that are difficult to dispose of.
Environmental protection - this is the fundamental goal of the waste
management industry.
We prevent environmental pollution by properly disposing of wastewater
and exhaust gases generated during waste treatment in strict compliance
with regulations. We are committed to processing waste with minimal
environmental impact to ensure the health and well-being of people long
into the future.
Our efforts are directed at preserving a beautiful natural environment with
clean water, soil, and air for future generations and safeguarding the earth
for our children to lead bright and happy lives.
